Aquamedicine.no
The aim of the present website is to provide a full presentation of Aquamedicine activities, staff, publications, services and research projects related to health, welfare and food safety of wild and farmed aquatic organisms at the two major veterinary institutions in Norway; The Norwegian School of Veterinary Science and the National Veterinary Institute.
Aquamedicine.no does not currently provide a separate news service. However, the host institutions have their own news services (some in Norwegian), where many items related to aquamedicine can be found.

Management of resistance in sealice
Two projects, one funded by the EU (5th framework) and one funded by the Norwegian Research Council, conducted to a large part at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science, have resulted in a handbook in resistance management.

Possibilities for genetically identical research fish
Genetically identical fish for experimental studies pave the way for many new research possibilities. The use of androgenesis to produce genetically identical salmonids was the topic of a poster presented by Unni Grimholt for the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science at the conference 'HAVBRUK 2006'.

Svante Winberg new Professor in Fish-Physiology
Svante Winberg has worked at Uppsala University in Sweden where his research was focused on neuroethology and comparative neuroendocrinology. He is especially interested in correlations between behaviour and stress responses of fish.
